Bidar: A memorable weekend trip from Hyderabad

Bidar is a very nice place at Karnataka state which is approximately 639 km from Bangalore, 116 km from Gulbarga, 140 km from Hyderabad and 788 km from Chennai. This place is mostly preferred for short trip or weekend trip by travelers from Hyderabad which having some interesting monuments and Fort. I visited Bidar on December 2014 with my friends which were a memorable trip. If you want a short trip near to Hyderabad or weekend trip then it will be one of the good choices.We started morning 4 am from Banjara hills, Hyderabad and It takes around 4hrs to reach Bidar.

1. Narasimha Jhira cave temple: – 

Please ready to wet if you are visiting this temple. It was our starting point because you have to pass through the water while to see god. Also, people believe that all type skin problem will be cured if you pass through this water.

2. Gurudwara Nanak Jhira Sahib: – 

It is a Sikh historical shrine which was built in the year 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru Guru Nanak.  Noontime is best for visiting this place and you will really love this place.    

3. Bidar Fort: –

The most attractive place at bidar is Bidar Fort which is situated on the northern plateau of Karnataka. There are over 30 monuments inside Bidar fort. This fort was built in 1427 while Sultan Alla-Ud din Bahman shifted his capital from Gulbarga to Bidar. The fort was built by Ahmad Shah Wali Bahman. It will take approximately 1.30-2hrs to complete visit the fort. To know more about Bidar Fort see Wikipedia

4.Bahmani Tombs:-

I was our last destination the evening time which is a cluster of 12 tombs located in Asthoor village. There are no entry fees to see those Tombs also photography allowed. These Tombs are the approximately 25ft height from ground level.

Tips: – If you are planning to visit from Hyderabad then you can contact a local travel agent for one day travel. If you plan to visit without any travel agency then start early morning approximately 4 am. It’s around 4 hrs journey from Hyderabad. Above photos are randomly clicked from our camera.
